Roku recently released an update that eliminated the ability to locate Rokus by their serial numbers. The easiest and most convenient way to locate your Roku is to assign it a name. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to assign your Roku a name:
- Login to roku.com
- Navigate to my.roku.com/account and scroll down to the device list.
- Add or change the device name to something that makes sense to you. If your Roku is in your bedroom you may want to name it something like "[your name]-bedroom." The name needs to be human readable so if you're ever having issues and need to submit a support request, we will be able to locate it with ease. Once you've given your Roku a name select "Update."
- Go to the device; exit and relaunch the Philo Edu app.
